we all have these, incredible experiences or defining moments in our lives … call it what you want. i just had one & it was called wppi, wedding & portrait photographers international. i’m a new member & a new photographer embarking on what is becoming a more & more exciting journey than i ever expected. the 2009 wppi convention & trade show last week was just one stop on my journey … it was awesome (to say the least).
my type “a” personality brought a specific agenda with clear goals & objectives for this visit … the platform classes were highlighted, the trade show map clearly marked, the outlook calendar filled in … & i came home with every one of my goals met:
- learn, learn, learn
- find a website or better yet a web based solution, as my virtual storefront
- find an online proofing option
- touch & feel the products i would like to offer my clients
- meet fellow photographers to share & grow with
- don’t let my vertigo hold me back
all i can say is that i feel more focused & more energized than i thought i would be. stay tuned for more updates to come, as i can’t help but share my plans … i think excitement breeds excitement!
